Ingrediantes
1 (16 oz) French Bread Loaf
1 cup of light brown sugar
1/3 cup butter melted
2 tablespoons maple syrup
¾ cup chopped pecans
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup 2% fat milk
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Dollop of Whip Cream (optional)
Preparation
1. Cut bread into 10 slices. Each slice should be approximately 1 inch wide.
2. In a medium sauce pan, on low heat stir brown sugar, melted butter, and maple syrup until melted cohesively. Sprinkle with pecans.
3.Pour the mixture in a large baking pan.
4. Place the slice of bread on top of the pecan mixture.
5. In a medium boil, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
6. Pour the egg mixture over the bread.
7. Cover and let chill 8 hours in the refrigerator. (I usually let it chill over night)
8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 35-37 minutes. Serving immediately. (Flip over to serve with the preline mixture showing)
9. Add a dollop of whip cream on top, to make it extra pretty!
Enjoy
This is my favorite French Toast recipe ever. It’s so delicious and can be served with fruit on the side. My family absolutely loves it. It’s a bit caloric but definitely worth it. I hope you love it as much as we do!
